All sessions are 55 minutes, pre registration is required.

Mat Class

This mat class has contemporary themes but maintains its classical integrity. You will be guided through the mat repertoire which is designed to strengthen your core, improve posture, increase flexibility, and enhance overall stability. In mat Pilates you use your body weight for resistance rather than equipment. Throughout class you will be lying on your back, tummy or side, on hands and knees, seated, and/or standing; all of which provide different challenges. While mat Pilates may look gentle, the slow, focused movements can be surprisingly challenging. There is a strong focus on proper alignment, and precise muscle engagement, especially in the abdominals, back, hips, and glutes. The mat work is a great low-impact way to build deep core strength, muscular endurance, and mind-body awareness without placing stress on the joints. After class you will feel both stronger and more stretched.

The mat class is a weekly video sent out on Mondays; if you register for the class, you will be sent the video via a Zoom link. Sign up is through Zoe or online.

Reformer Class

This reformer class has contemporary themes but maintains its classical integrity. You will be guided through the reformer repertoire which is designed to build core strength, improve posture, increase flexibility, and enhance balance and coordination. The reformer springs add resistance to strengthen and tone muscles, and/or provide assistance for support and mobility. Exercises will be done lying down, sitting, kneeling, and/or standing on the carriage, which is a moving surface, so each posture provides a different challenge. As with all Pilates sessions, there is a strong emphasis on breath control, proper alignment, and engaging the core. Reformer is a low-impact way to get an excellent full-body workout so that by the end of class, you will feel stronger and more stretched.

This class is appropriate for healthy bodies with a familiarity of Pilates and the reformer work. Sign up for in person reformer classes through Zoe or online, Zoom reformer classes through Zoe.

Private Sessions

Privates are the perfect place to address the needs of the individual client, they are also appropriate if you’d like to join classes but are not quite ready. When you are just starting Pilates, classes can feel fast paced and be intimidating, in the case of the reformer it also takes time to get used to the equipment. Private sessions ease the transition from newbie to class member, injured to healthy, weak to strong. As your Pilates journey continues you will become stronger, more limber, and better in control of your movements, thus ready to join classes or continue with sessions in a private setting; whichever fits you and your goals. Private sessions are in studio or via Zoom. Sign up through Zoe.
